Madelyn and James have been at school for almost a couple weeks now. Madelyn has really adjusted to middle school. She is in 6th grade. She now has her own email account. It is really weird emailing her. My default email signature just says --Mark. I always end up changing it to --Dad.
Sheri built some shelves for Madelyn's locker. It looks really nice. The other kids pass by her locker, and they are a little jealous! She decorated it too. It has a little mirror, a holder for pencils, and some colorful thingies dangling.
She has to run the mile soon, and she is a little nervous about that. But they have been training. She did pretty well running about 3/4 a mile.
James is in 3rd grade. He has the same teacher and fellow classmates as last year. They loop 2nd and 3rd grade at our school. So, it's nice to have one less thing changing. He is most excited about ... recess, of course. Each day the boys play touch football. It's a good day when he talks about the touchdowns and interceptions he got!
James is playing on the 3rd grade community football team. They played their first game last Saturday. They lost, but they had fun. James ended up catching a pass for a 2-point conversion at the very end of the game! You can see a picture of it on our football website: http://www.orgsites.com/mn/huskyfootball/_pgg1.php3.
Well, that's all for now. Since others are doing their monthly updates in a free-flowing way, I figured I would do the same!
