Champs!

James' basketball team won their tournament today!  They played the first two games in the morning.  Then they played another St. Anthony team in the championship tonight.  The other team was undefeated and had won by 4 points the last time we played them. Sheri and I had a Valentine's Day dinner/concert at our church, so we were unable to watch the game :(

At halftime Madelyn texted us with the score.  Us 2 Them 11.  I was a little surprised they would be down that much.  We immediately left when the concert was over.  Prepared for the game to be over with James' team losing by quite a margin, I was pleasantly surprised when someone told me that they had tied the game up - that it was going into overtime.

It was just two minutes.  The other team had one good look at the basket, but they missed.  Then one of our players took a good pass from his teammate and put it in - the first basket he had made in several games.  30 seconds later, the game ended.  James and his other teammates jumped out of the chairs on raced onto the court.  Final score was 15-13.
