1) On a scale of 1 to 10, how was your DECEMBER?
Probably an 8.
2) What did you do last weekend OR what are your plans for this weekend?
This weekend is late night at the YMCA. Follow that right up with a basketball game at 9:45 AM. The two undefeated teams go up against each other. Should be fun. Some of James' best friends are on the other team.
3) How is the extended family?
4) How is job?
5) How is health?
I playing floor hockey with the kids today at the community center. Now I am sneezing a bunch. Watery eyes. That's 2x it's happened from strenuous exercise inside the community center gym. Not cool. I don't like it.
6) Did you go anywhere cool?
7) What made you frustrated? Sneezing after exercise.
8) What made you happy? Listening to Madelyn and James play so well on the piano.
9) Anything surprising? Watching the Vikes demolish the Giants. That Madelyn liked the chili that I made.
10) Movies/TV shows you watched? "Avatar", "Alvin and the Chipmunks - The Squeakle."
11) Currently reading? Founding Brothers and How the States Got Their Shapes.
12) Something you made: Chili with free range hamburger.
13) Do anything cool? Played hockey with James and the other kids over break.
14) Anything bad happen?
15) Any cool people you've met/reconnected with?
16) Any big purchases?
17) Something that inspired you. In reading Founding Brothers, I learned that James Madison was not an imposing person. His tendency was to allow people to speak, be gracious, and then quietly make his point (which was usually logical and well thought out). I may have some challenges in the next year with being on the sports boosters board, as commissioner of football or as co-leader of our YMCA Voyagers program. Perhaps, in trying to influence others, I can take a page from Madison's book.
18) What are you looking forward to in the month of JANUARY? Watching James' basketball games and seeing if the Vikes can march to Miami.
19) Not looking forward to? Super cold weather.
20) Complete the phrase: "In DECEMBER, I helped Sheri re-organize the basement. We now, once again, have a cozy, livable space.".
